Javad Nejati (UX/UI Designer)
The product: Red is a movie trailer browsing app for movie fans around the world, who want to find a good movie to watch, but sometimes they don't have time to check a lot of trailers to find a proper movie, this app made to help them and solve their problems... Let's check the process together :)
Understanding the user
User research: because of a limited budget, I decided to do secondary research more than primary, I searched and observe a lot of people's comments and a lot of statistics, also I did other ways like an empathy map... to understand the user. so you can see the result in the next pages!
Personas
Pain Points: 1.Time: It's wasting time to check a lot of movies trailers to find a good one!
2.Accessibility: these apps don't have a subtitle for trailers or they have auto-translate subtitles!

Starting the design
Paper wireframes:Taking the time to draft iterations of each screen of the app on paper ensured that the elements that made it to digital wireframes would be well-suited to address user pain points ;)
Digital wireframes: As the initial design phase continued, I made sure to base screen designs on feedback and findings from the user research.
Low-fidelity prototype: Using the completed set of digital wireframes, I created a low-fidelity prototype.
Usability studies : I conducted two rounds of usability studies. Findings from the first study helped guide the designs from wireframes to mockups. The second study used a high-fidelity prototype and revealed what aspects of the mockups needed refining.
